Configurating 7i92 + 7i76 card

Hi Guys,

We have four CNC mills running LinuxCNC for more than 10 years now with great results. We are using 5i25 + 7i76 cards but now it's becoming difficult to find PCs with PCI slots. I would like change to fanless micro PCs with 7i92 and 7i76 cards. We bought a 7i92t Ethernet board and a microPC but despite already several hours of work can't manage it work.

First i install linuxcnc-uspace 2.8.4, update mesaflash to 3.4.6 and install the 7i92t_7i76x2.bin firmware in the 7i92 card. The 7i92 was feed by a 5V @ 400mA linear power supply to avoid problems with electrical noise. By the readhmid mesaflash report seems that the firmware is OK.

The .ini and .hal were updated, but when I try run linuxCNC I got the following error:

Pin 'hm2_7i92.0.7i76.0.0.output-00' does not exist

Seems that the 7i92 card cannot communicate with the 7i76 card. The cable is the same original mesa cable that was being used with the 5i25.

I looked the .hal file for some error but cannot find any.

Any help would be great appreciate.

The 7i76 sserial port is not found.

This could be an issue with 7I76 5V power, 7I76 field power or cabling
(7I92t P2 to 7I76)

Thank you PCW. I forgot turn on the jumpers W3 and W4 on the 7i92 board to send the 5V power for 7i76.
