Not sure what you mean about the PWM, the 7I77 has only analog outputs.

Hoestly I am confused too.
This is what is mentioned on my drive. Made me think that Pulse input is meant step/dir digital signals and PWM meant analog!!
I don't know what difference the modes are on the drive. The dip switches modes that are in the first picture are printed on the drives too. Are the modes mentioned different or the same?
@Tommylight said it is analog and so I thought that. Anyways, Help me with this.6i25 p3 to 7i76, p2 to 7i74, sserial link between 7i76 and 7i74. Which port on 7i74 is sserial (default is port 8 I guess). 3 axes, one spindle and spindle encoder to 7i76, 3 linear scales on the axes to 7i74 making it closed loop. Would this work?

PCW can you make a firmware for 5i25_7i76_7i74 with one sserial and rest BISS-C channel on 7i74. You have made one for 5i25_7i77_7i74. The drive I bought has some quirks which is making me go back and forth with the daughterboard choice.
You did mention that controlling with analog 7i77 drive o/p to SV and Forward/Reverse pin is awkward. Can I make one of the enable pin from 7i77 drive o/p to function as forward/reverse signal for my drive? Does such change in function need to be written in the firmware or be configured in the software?
I know I'm lost and trying to grab onto a solution. Any solution. but if you could make the 7i74 bissc firmware with 7i76, I might be able to get the linear encoders working in the mean while.

I can make that firmware when I get a chance.
You cannot use the 7I77 enable outputs for direction
as they are hardwired for the enable function.

Alright buddy. I think 7i76 is the way for me then.
Make a 5i25_7i76_7i74 bissc firmware when you are free. Give me the HDL source code too: I'll try to learn to make one.
