Any idea what would have caused this intermittent error message.

All that was added to my system was a WHB04B-4 wireless MPG.
The MPG works fine with no issues so far.

Thanks in advance.

That likely means that your latency has increased for some reason
Is the  xhc-whb04b-6 interfaced via a USB dongle or is it a WIFI device?

It's just the USB dongle, nothing more.

Strange, You might try lengthening the servo period slightly
to see if is improves things or do some of the other network
latency improving changes:

Use isolcpus in grub to isolate the last processor, use idle=poll in grub,
make sure irq coalescing  is off if you have a Intel MAC, and finally pin
the Ethernet IRQ to the isolated CPU.

I have all of that covered. This is becoming a PITA unfortunately. Been running the same kernel and params for ages.
Not sure if anything changed recently but I almost always download the latest code from GIT, compile and run.

Is this something that may have recently cropped up?

I would disable the xhc and see if the problem goes away.
Something else unrelated to jog controller may have
changed on the PC
