Bricked Mesa 7i92T was created by danilom
Hi , I used dozens of Mesa cards during the years, but recklessly I managed to flash an old 7i92 firmware to 7i92T board , and yes it was with older mesaflash . red /DONE led is illuminated. Manual says EEPROM must be re-programmed via the JTAG. Any instructions how to do this and with what tool.
Thanks !

You need the "Efinity" tools and a supported programmer
(we use the FT4232H MINI MODULE) and a 7i92t.hex file
(you can build the hex file from source or use the one here)
You program the FPGA with seveni92t.hex via JTAG and then
(without power cycling) run mesaflash to re-init the card:
mesaflash --device 7i92t --addr 192.168.1.121 --write 7i92t_16m_fallback.bin --fallback
mesaflash --device 7i92t --addr 192.168.1.121 --write 7i92t_something.bin
Not a real lot of fun to do if you are not setup...
If you are local, its probably worth shipping it to Mesa
to get re-inited as it takes us about 1 minute.
Oh, and update your mesaflash, the newer ones won't let you do this...

Thank you PCW very much, will try that and report back. I'm in Europe so will try to manage it with a help from a friend.

Did you flash it twice with the wrong firmware?
It has a fallback, so flashing it only once with wrong firmware will not brick it and does not require JTAG, just moving a jumper.

Unfortunately, Its entirely possible to brick a 7I92T with one write if
you use an old version of Mesaflash (that does not recognize the 7I92T)
