You have a 7I97, not a 7I97T?

I checks my order and should have a 7I97 Ethernet interfaced Analog servo plus I/O and a 7IA0 Isolated remote I/O card running in this machine right now. At least according to my order from back then.

OK I'll make 7I97/7I85S firmware
Did this need any other features?

No the rest should be pretty stock, just need to know how the step Dir ist setup to configure the drivers.
is if there is one pin step+ and one step-
or one pin step and the other direction.
again thanks for your kind support

Firmware for a 7I97 + 7I85S
Note that a full configuration will not fit so I dropped 1 stepgen.
(so only 3 step/dir channels) I could drop encoders (out of the 10 total)
if that's a better fit
The 7I85S has differential stepgen outputs so you have STEP+,STEP-,DIR+,DIR-
If you only need single ended outputs, you just leave the unused outputs unconnected.

Many thanks, I would need all four Stepgen ( single ended) I don’t need all encoders, eight would be the max. If I want to read the servo and axis encoders.
I could also Not use one of the pwm channels.
Just out of curiosity can the stepgen outputs be setup so step+/- is a step in cw and dir+/- a step in ccw
my drivers can handle both it’s just to know for future projects

Yes, it can. Maybe it makes more sense in quadrature mode? And I'm interested in what PCW thinks.

Yes, CW/CCW mode is available though in general I would prefer Quadrature
if the drives support it (square wave outputs so no timing setup basically)
7I97 + 7I85S 4 stepgens but only 2 encoders (6,7) on 7I85S

The drivers actually support that, so they can be driven by a hand wheel.
Many thanks again. With some luck the card will be here tomorrow.
