I want to connect the alarm signal of my drivers to the typical blue Chinese parallel port card.
I've looked around the net a lot but I'm not sure how to connect it. From what I see the alarm signal is normally open, I've inverted it to normally closed by connecting via RS232.

My idea is to connect the 3 drivers in series together with the emergency stop.
I don't know if anyone can give me an idea of how to connect everything.

Connect to input on BOB, then in hal connect that input to joint.N.amp-fault.
Or in your case if you have them with e-stop, in hal connect to estop-ext.

In hal I have pin 10 connected to estop-exp.

I don't know how I should connect the alarm cables.... I have right now connected alm+ to input 10 of the bob and alm- on the ground.

If I create a fault in the driver so that the alarm goes off and linuxcnc stops but the driver does not emit a red light or any warning.

If I create the fault without connecting the cables, the red LED flashes.

Parallèle port driver setup linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/hal/parallel-port.html
For wiring your IO’s, have a look at the wiring diagram forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/5000...ation-help-mesa-5i25
Hope these links are helpful.

The problem I have is that I don't know how to connect the cables from the driver to the bob. I also don't know if alarm+ needs voltage.....

Apart from the cable connection, do I have to modify anything in my HAL file so that the alarm works with the emergency stop?

I have managed to get linuxcnc to stop when an alarm goes off, but the driver does not turn on the red LED, so I will never know which driver is faulty...

Of course, hence my question.
To have it work properly, you need separate inputs for all drives, then LinuxCNC shows what drive faulted.
