China BOB with Relais, clarification help, mesa 5i25 was created by MrSpeaky
Hello my dear fellow LinuxCNC users.
So i am starting a new CNC project, and was thinking about reusing my old 5i25 and expanding it with one of these CHINA 5 Axis mach3 BOBs.
got the cable etc, currently redoing the bit file yada yada.
But i am very unsure about the different voltage inputs required aswell aswell as the direction of wiring my enable signal for my servo drive i have lying around.
I read in other threads that this board was requiring 5v external over the usb, sometimes only the 24V was required from the 24V external input.
is the enable signal then 5V level or 24V?
maybe someone who has this board already wired up can give me some pointers.
have a nice evening.
Chris

On the China BOB it needs 12-24v and 5V . 5V can be got from the usb or a separate 5V PS. Or a buck converter from the 24v supply

The 12-24V input is only for generating 0-10V analog voltage, which is generated from the PWM input on P1.
All the other signals need the 5V voltage input.
EDIT: just want to mention that I get best results for 0-10V output when I set the PWM frequency down to 400 Hz...

I think you might be mistaken re. the 12-24v I don't think the input pins work without it.
But I will stand corrected if not.
