JCUT-6090A CNC router was created by garym1957
Please have a look at this...
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130545297489
This is the perfect size machine for what I want.
Anyone worked with this one before? The standard electronics are odd to me. You get as part of their package, a PCI card to control the stepper drivers, rather than a parallel port breakout board.
This is twice my 1600.00 budget but I think I can handle 3500 bucks soon enough. (I want to get the 4th axis)
Does this machine live up the the excellent ebay ratings? Anyone know firsthand?
Also, can EMC2 talk to a PCI interface?
Thanks very much everyone.

Yes, but if it is not a supported card like Mesa cards are you would have to write your own driver for it.
I would get on the cnczone forum and see if anyone has one like that and what they think of it.

Yes, there are already drivers for a dozen or so PCI cards.
Do you know what the PCI card is? They claim Mach3 compatibility, which surprises me if it is a proprietary card.

Thank you. I'll check out CNCzone.
Isn't a PCI card just an adapter? ,...plugs into the MB and has an LPT port for an I/O connector?
I'm a total noob. I just figured out what a break out board is... Now these people are talking about PCI cards.

However, EMC2 also supports various alternative PCI cards with up to 96 output pins, but they don't look like printer ports to the system and need a different driver.
It can be, and if that is what they are supplying (and it isn't a bad plan to ship a parallel port card that they know can drive their hardware) then EMC2 will be able to use it seamlessly.Isn't a PCI card just an adapter? ,...plugs into the MB and has an LPT port for an I/O connector?
