Are there any examples of retrofitting a cnc punch press.
Looking into the possibility of retrofitting a 60 ton Q-Tec press.

I don't know of any examples, but I can't imagine any real problems.
What does punch-press G-code look like? Is there an implicit punch after every move?

Andy,
Not sure what the code looks like. Imagine move to position then use an m-code to fire the punch.
Just starting out looking into the retrofit possiblities.
Thanks,
Mark

It probably wants to toolchange on the T rather than wait for an M6 too.

That would work, but I can imagine that it might be more like PCB drilling code, where there is an implicit punch at the end of every move.Imagine move to position then use an m-code to fire the punch.
