Tools changing and turret was created by aike
Hi!
I want yo use EMC in Sodick MC450 (XYZ=450x300x300) and 20 tools in turret.
The turret consist of trucks in ring, the trucks moving obtained be servo.
Also the arm change tool in spindel and back. It also operate by servo.
Is anybody did it? I know how to adjust XYZA moving, how to set switches and etc, but
I've never did auto tools change (not use hands:)).
Please help me and better send the working example .

sounds like a random tool changer setup here, which EMC 2.4 now supports so take a look on the docs how it works etc.
servos on the tool changer and arm, so you will need to setup PIDs for these servo outputs in the hal by sounds of it, but not sure depends how you need to talk to the servo drives. and how you can read in tool position etc.
might be worth dropping on IRC to talk about it also as afew people have now done random changers and non random so alot of info floating around now.
