Hi Guys,
Has anyone retrofitted a Hurco MB1 milling machine?
I have guted the old contol and have installed Linuxcnc.
5I23, 2x 5I37 and 2x 5I29.
Everything is working except for the tool changer.
Does anyone have the timing code for the tool holder drum?
Manfred

If you post the values we can probably identify is. It is quite likely to be Gray Code.
The "carousel" HAL component might help.

Does your spindle move to the +Z axis then the changer move in, unlock tool, lower, rotate, raise, lock, retract ?
If it does it is just like the changer on my BMC30. I am going to work on mine some this weekend. Like Andy said the "carousel" component should help.
I do not have the timing on mine. but there is limit switches for each of the movements, I figured I would set the times long and keep trying to trim them down. There is a time delay relay on my toolchanger PCB which I think is related to the rotate component of the changer.

Jake: Look at the G-code that handles the tool change in the sim/vismach/vmc_toolchange config. That is configured to send a move to an actuator and wait for a limit switch on each move.
