I have gotten my standard three axis mill driven by servos moving, so now I want to increase it to 4 axis. I have 4th axis table from a sherline setup which is stepper driven and has a module which connects to a PC parallel port. Can I merge my 3 axis servo files with a 4 axis sherline setup. Possibly create a 4 axis setup for the sherline and then cut and paste the 4th axis section, as well as any needed calls, into the original ini file from my servo 3 axis setup?

Yes you can copy and paste the needed section from the ini, but you also need to do that to the hal files, just check the pin assigment so you do not have overlaping pins. It should be very simple. Do make a copy of both configs before you start. Also do add the A axis and the number of axis to 4 in the ini file.
