Z axis control for a waterjet was created by antonyvm
Hello Team,
I was wondering about the Z axis control for a water-jet.
Like a plasma, the z axis follows the g-code and should be able to take manual corrections for the variation in the thickness.
Is it possible to introduce an up and down button in the interface, or is there a solution already?
Thank you,
Antony.

For using buttons, use any THC plasma config except ones for THCAD, it will work manualy only as it will not be controlled by gcode while it running.

The Z axis has to retract and come back to cutting position as per the gcode.
But after the initial positioning we would need to give small corrections to the position while cutting.
The on screen buttons can be avoided, could this work with an input to the controller?
One input for up and another for down.

Yes, i did mean physical buttons and yes you can conrtol and home Z axis as usual while not cutting, at every cut start the THC hal component takes over Z axis so it can only be controlled from physical buttons ( THC sends up and down commands to Z axis ).
