Mesa 7i80, Mesa 7i77, STMBL v3 servo driver connected via smart serial link
ISO30 spindle driven by 17kVA VFD, controlled with 0-10V from the Mesa 7i77.
A couple more aggregates switched on with relays.
HAL config here: github.com/aShure/cnc-configs/tree/master/justinbieber
Stop by and have a look if you're around.
Cheers from Berlin, Germany

Is that with the standard IRAMSX chip, or an upgraded one?
You seem to be comfortably over the claimed parameters of the STMBL.

Standard IRAMX16UP60, pulsed RMS phase current up to 30A. and 20A is still below the current protection threshold It does need hefty forced air cooling to sweat more than 100W out of the package.
The 20A are almost never met. Driving the axis with acceleration values that require 20A is actually a tad too much due to lack of mechanical stiffness and the long, rather small (23.5mm) ball screw. It's an open portal with just one side supported. With high acceleration and thus high torque and current the axis is dancing (overshooting) with a Millimeter of swing. I can't spot that on the encoders though and counter it, the lever is too long. It's flex in the ball screw and the steel frame construction.
Cheers,
Shu

Hallo schu,
Wie hast du die encoder Signale vom Servomotor abgegriffen um sie auf 5v zu bekommen?
Damit die Mesa die Signale verarbeiten kann.
