I'm going to be using this thread to document, what I hope will become a group effort, to convert a Chinese plasma cutting table from a "POS" controller to LinuxCNC with a $1000+ budget. Here is the machine as it sits today. I am currently researching Mesa cards and looking for LinuxCNC enthusiasts in the Portland area who would like to play with a plasma cutting table and make some new friends, possible drink a few beers or cider, and eat a roast pig or two. Instead of becoming house bound this winter? LOL

Have a good read through this :- forum.linuxcnc.org/plasmac/37234-plasmac-documentation
Depending how much i/o you need a Mesa 7i96 + THC10 will probably do. :- store.mesanet.com/index.php?route=produc...oduct&product_id=311
Good luck with the conversion.
