If I have the right manual from this page

ON page 45, there is a diagram of step and direction connections so I guess there is a mode to select.
I'm totally not familiar with hardware like yours. I'd suggest you create a new post under driver boards and include a link to your driver and ask for help selecting a card to make it work best...

Rodw, you're right.
On page 44-45 it report the wiring for step/dir....
Honestly, I didn't read this part of the manual, as I was convinced I had to use J7 (analog input) connector for step / dir.
Anyway, I'll follow your suggestion opening a new post and asking even for the best matching card for use with.
