Yaskawa to hsd919 vfd settings was created by SPH
Hey folks, I've reset my yaskawa 616g5 vfd to clear out the custom settings it had but I'm getting over voltage errors now when I spin up the spindle.
I've got the Min freq set to 200hz and the max at 400 as per the name plate but it clearly needs more parameters setting up.
Spindle is a 2 pole 24000rpm hsd 919.
Machine is a biesse rover 23.
If anyone's got one of these running and can point me in the right direction it'd be a big help and time saver.
Thanks in advance.

Used the perfectly good manual I have to answer my own questions. Found the settings for the spindle. That said, it's not all clear sailing yet.
I first got a grounding error which sounds worrying, I've disabled detection for now just to trouble shoot. Once that was disabled the spindle will ramp up but I then get over current errors, extending the accel time as suggested doesn't help.

Just to close this story off for future readers, the spindle was shot. Had a short in the windings. Got a couple of used replacements and am moving along.
