Same advice about cnc spindles was created by sibelius
Hi everyone,
Thinking about my new cnc machine, I came across noise problems.
In my old cnc I have a $27 Chinese router that I have to say works great but the noise is just unbearable.
The other problem is my vacuum system that add extra noise to the enviroment.
So what I am thinking to do is to box completely the vacuum cleaner trying cut the noise.
The other think is to replace the router with a spindle.
Can anyone have some suggestion about a "quite" spindle?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
V.

The most noisless spindles are with water coolant. Fan of the spidnle also makes pretty good noise.
But the most noisy thing on spindle is tool that is vibrating when cutting.
So tools with biger diameters and max 2 cutting sides (not 4 cutting sides - they are very-very noisy) will be better for less noise.

Though I have a typical (square body) air-cooled spindle and it is in no way objectionable in its noise.
I have used handheld routers a lot. Being quieter than them is a very low bar.
Mine can be heard running here

Hello
Thank you very much for your help.
I am doing a bit of research myself and as you said water cooled spindle seems less noise than others.
Listening at Andy spindle, seems very quite to what I am use to.
As I said my router is just insanely noise.
Thanks again
Regards,
V.
PS I will update as soon I have more information and make same decision.
