Hi!
New at this forum and also quite new within the work as an CNC operator.
Anyway, we have this old wood cutting machine at work, rover 342 from Italy (built 1990).
Is it possible to run this machine from the EMC2 system?
If we connect the rover to the pc's serial port or something?
The old intergrated system has alot of bugs and ghost witch makes it really unreliable
thankful for help

Well it just depends on what kind of drives you have... EMC controls "dumb" drives via the parallel port or pci cards like Mesa. A "dumb" drive takes velocity commands or step and direction commands. So you have to dig a little deeper into the machine to see what you have...
