Hi All
My name is Marcel.
I am building a pick&place machine for placing SM electronic components. The problem I have with P/P is you need many different locations for picking the components, much like a tool change location. You also need to have different heights settings for all the components and switch the vacuum on to lift a component. What's the easiest way of doing this?

Just program all the moves in your G Code. You can use M100 to turn on and off your vacuum.

Like John said, its pretty trivial to program the moves from point A to point B using simple G-code moves.
Rather than turning the vaccum pump on and off, have an M100 command to open and close a vaccum valve. The holding pipe might meed to be "leaky" where it holds to component so your not waiting for the grabbing tool to lose suction on the component.
