Looking for any input. Is anyone familiar with Dolphin CAD CAM?
I'm not sure whether Mach3 or EMC2 is a better choice for the controller?

Well we have actually used Dolphin at the shop for the past 2 years and its by far the easiest software that I used.
So now that I am going to be doing some side jobs on my own, I bought my own license.
It can post to Mach3 or EMC2, just not sure which is better. I can run linux and windows apps.

Well if you want to thread EMC is the one... etc, etc. Real time step generation in winblows just can't happen with any guarantees. That's why you see all kind of special hardware you can buy to "fix" that problem.
But if you ask that question on the mack forum I'm sure you will get a different answer as their motivation is selling software and ours is improving EMC.
