My favorite CAM program for linux is HeeksCAD/HeeksCNC. It runs on Windows too.

I have no idea which cam program is most popular, my personal favorite it OneCNC. Windows and Linux can both see a dxf file.

John, is there any difference between NC link and OneCNC???? when I download OneCNC, it happened to be NClink
