I use some of the same tools, though I start with Autodesk Inventor. You _could_ start with Inventor Fusion, which is free (but not Free)
I need to try FreeCAD again. It was a bit incomplete last time I looked.

Hello andy,

Freecad has made huge improvements. You have some tuto on youtub it's very powerfull

Their web site also share many infos.

Hello,

What is the 2D CAM package you were using? This was around 2:55 into the video and showed the part in a wood texture.

Hello Aggie,

At 2:55 it is the free trial of Vectric cut 2D I tried from a DXF file to make a benchmark with PyCam. But it is a commercial soft. PyCam is free like dxftogcode written in python.
