Soft for laser scanner 3d for linux was created by aleksamc
Hi all.
My friend asks me if I can scan his real sculpture to 3D.
He have laser scanner device and he use it on his computer. I have rotary axis he is not.
He use mach3, I use linuxcnc and his soft don't could be installed on my PC. I need to install windows as second OS but it's very inconvenient for me. Does anybody know any program to scan model to stl and be used on linux?

I saw someone doing laser scanning at the weekend, now if only I could remember what software it was
Cloudcompare ( www.danielgm.net/cc/release/index.html ) might be an option, but I don't think that is what he was using. I will try to find out.

I realy don't know if this lasers is suits me.
It's really old topic but this problem is also not solved. As reason I can install windows an second OS. An use scaner under it.
As for laser, my friend have point laser and the program should make movements like milling cnc to scan the shape. All this software seams to use cloud of points. And I need to have such cloud from laser.
