Vectric Vcarve Pro, with laser module: is it compatible? was created by travis036
has anybody used Vcarve Pro (Vectric) with LinuxCNC? is it compatible?
also, the Laser module from Vetric, will it work with LinuxCNC with a laser on M68?
I was thinking of buying Vcarve Pro with the Laser Module, but before i shell out $$$, i want to know if others have had success with it.
Thanks in advance for any help!

You can use free full trial version to
download
But really all depends on your configuration of cnc and you supposedly will need postprocessor for this vcarve pro to adapt program to your laser configuration (turn on/off laser, adjust power, fan, so on) Configuration of toolpath will not matter for any cam program.

I do not use a Laser (have plenty of them but scared to use as i had a black hole in the left eye for several years) but i do use engraving machines i build and they also have PWM control of the pressure head.
For CAM i use dmap2gcode, it is free, python so easy to modify, and does a great job for what i need.
