I'm quite a fan of TinyCAD - it's very simple to use and is straightforward for schematic drawing. I've not tried QElectroTech but that's the alternative that many others use.

I tend to use KiCAD as I have it and use it for PCB design too.
I have occasionally also used EasyEDA as that is handy when ordering from JLCPCB as that (and their parts catalogue) is built in.
But KiCAD is the Linux / FOSS option.
