Well it's official January 2026 Autodesk Fusion 360 will no longer support Windows 10 . Either switch
to Windows 11 or you can no longer use fusion 360.

I am not surprised by their statement just disappointed. Windows 11 has been a train wreck for anyone
who remotely values their privacy and/or security. Then you have Autodesk that has been following the
same mindset. They store all your file's on there servers. You may work off line for short periods of time
but you still will have to log in after a period of time. Like many big companies you can no longer buy
their programs, you can only lease them.

Again this isn't a surprise. I like many others are learning or already using FreeCAD or similar on the daily
I doubt what I do will really hurt Autodesk's bottom line. That said . I am curious what the shift will truly be.
I am sure many are sick and tired of the "You will own nothing and be happy" corporate mind set.

I am going FreeCAD. How about everyone else what are you using or switching over too?

Hence the last version of Windows I used was Vista. Linux all the way for me.

I am well on my way to that myself. Between this and the Bambu Lab scenario I am waiting for Dr.Evil to emerge from the shadows
with some sort of ransom deal. LOL

Hahaha
I used to get the "I'm a hacker and have hacked all your devices and have videos of you watching rude videos and doing rude things"
My reply was "all still images and videos of myself are copyrighted. I will have my people visit you to discuss your upcoming self deletion. As we are reasonable people we will not expose your friends and family members to the videos you have collected of random people doing things"

These always came to an old Hotmail account I've had pre 2000, and look at every 2 months or so.
Seriously, I've seen every scam known to man come through that.

Do you do the whole Kitboga thing and keep "nude photos" of mole rats for the windows security scammers to down load?

No, but the OK Game is good. I usually identify myself as Patrick Conor Officer, and give them the phone number and address of a police station in my state.

Whats Windows?
If I have to go out of my browser on Windows, I truly can barely remember what to do...

I am in the Windows trap since many years ago when Alibre Design had a good price of 99$ and at that time Windows was good.
For many years I bought the updates to Alibre Design.

Now I have a lot of job files in Alibre Design™ Expert Version: V25 64-bit, have been looking at FreeCAD and have ‘recently’ learnt the CAM part of FreeCAD to get the NC files.

Then the software for running my 3D scanners:
Revopoint3d: Windows, Mac, IOS and Android
scandimension: Windows and Mac
Creality: Windows and Android

So it's not just jumping over to Linux and Mac doesn't appeal to me.
The day Alibre Design and the software to connect the 3D scanners to get the data is in Linux, then I can switch away from Windows.
