GCode Review was created by electrosteam
Raspberry Pi 4B running Gmoccapy 4.9.4 without any significant issues on a 3-axis turret mill.
CamBam used to produce 3D MOPs for cast iron model locomotive wheels.
Camotics and NCViewer used to simulate the GCode files produced.
But, as we all know, issues do arise that need review.
NCViewer displays the GCode file and a 3D representation of the paths.
It includes an option that shows each GCode data point in the 3D display as a GCode line is highlighted.
The reverse does not work, selecting a data point does not highlight the equivalent GCode line.
Looking for suggestions on how to identify a GCode line when a path/point is selected on a 3D path display.

Download the official LinuxCNC ISO, write to USB, use that USB to boot the PC (any PC) and use it in LIVE mode to view and test gcode using any of the included SIM configs.

Tommy,
Thanks for the reminder about the on-machine simulation, that works fine.
I was hoping I had missed something in Camotics or NCViewer, or there was another product available that I could run at the design stage away from the machine.
Well, this shows I need to install LinuxCNC Simulator on my desktop.
John.

If your desktop is a Windows machine, you can use Virtualbox to host linuxcnc on.Tommy,

I run Ubuntu 24.04 on my workshop station.
So no problem doing as Tommy suggested, and I will follow that up.
Did some more digging, found out FreeCad will open a GCode file and display the paths.
And, when a path is selected, the readout shows the (nearly) equivalent file line number and x,y,z coordinates.
Already solved the problem that initiated the OP, thanks to all.
