Truetype Tracer was created by Jeff G.
I "installed" truetype tracer--- is this supposed to show up in EMC2 or is this just a terminal program? or is this something that I can click on --- I am stumped --- there is no documentation there other than it is supposed to work with EMC2-- anyone know how to work it?

It's a terminal program. You can type 'man truetype-tracer' to see some of the gory details.
Here is a quick and dirty example:
truetype-tracer test
This will place the gcode for engraving 'test' on your terminal. You would then need to copy and paste the gcode into an editor.
truetype-tracer test > test.ngc
That would 'pipe' the code to a file named test.ngc in whatever directory that you run that command in.
There is a lot more that you can do with this, but it's been a while for me. I would have to play with it more to remember
It's a good utility program.
