you need to set in Display
GEOMETRY = XY;UV
FOAM = 1

to get 2planes

That would be what andy was referring to:

The AXIS GUI can handle XYUV foam cutters but I don't think anything does a preview for XZUW.

did you check if you set
GEOMETRY = XY;UW
FOAM = 1
LATHE= 1
