My bad,
I blew out my z axis on a 4 axis blue tb6560. Can I use the c axis as a z axis port by
re-assigning it thru linuxcnc? i saw the chips on line could I just buy a new chip
to do the repair? As you can see I am new to this. I had my wires crossed and
the driver chip went pop real loud. Is that all that went bad with it? Thank for any
help
Jim

I don't see why not... it's just another step/direction output.

Yep
I answered my own question thank you for the response. I am learning alot. I went ahead and did it and I am working again just down one axis that I don't need at this time. Almost done with my first cnc build. Wish Id of did more research before I started but I will have a machine to play with real soon. Thank you again. Sorry for the dumb question.

Sorry for the dumb question.

Very few question are "dumb" if you don't know how you ask and learn. My daughter did ask me a dumb question once lol.
