I installed Debian Wheezy with LinuxCNC on my laptop. It it true that to keep LinuxCNC working correctly I must NOT update the Debian OS?
If so, then HOW do I prevent Debian OS updates?

Don't share your password with anyone. Also there should be a setting in the package manager to not prompt you to upgrade the OS.

You should not _upGRADE_ the OS, but you should install the OS _upDATES_
