Hey guys. Yesterday i connected a relay for a cooling valve to the mesa 7i76 output. The first time it worked but the there was this overcurrent (27) fault. I thought about to high flyback voltage but there are normally no issues. So i disconnected the card and disconnected all zhe relays but the fault continues. So how to reset this fault???? The ins and outs are frozen so some are 24v some not... i use a external 24v dc supply on VIn and Ground...

If you get a overcurrent fault with no load ( disconnect _all_ outputs at the 7I76 to check ),
this means one of the (or both) of the output chips has been
damaged ( driving a larger relay without a flyback diode can damage the outputs )

If you still get a overcurrent fault with with all outputs disconnected
The best thing to do is power down and request an RMA from Mesa
to return the card for repair. Running with this fault risks further card damage

Return Material Authorization

You send an email to Mesa with the problem description and Mesa will send you a RMA number
At this point you can return the card to Mesa for evaluation/repair/replacement ( with the RMA number included in the shipment )
