HB04 Pendant how do you have yours setup?

Hi just bought a USB wired HB04 pendant read a few threads on how to set them up so hoping it won't be too bad when it arrives next week. I was just wondering if you have one how have you set your buttons up, what functions are most useful to program to the keys.

I'm new to linuxcnc and have only just got my head around cutting so unsure what functions are most useful to have on hand or even what functions you can program to the keys.

to be honest, it depends on your needs what may useful or not.

Have you already dealt with LinuxCNC Hal?
It my be helpful to start with the basics first and come later back to the pendant
