hi, i've retrofitted an old Milltronics machine, we have a month with the machine finished, also we did some jobs (surfaces, pockets and stuffs), I have a problem now, im doing slots and the machine was not following the right path, I mean the slots are horizontal, and I saw diagonals, so I checked the g code and it looks OK for me, also the path is displayed on the screen, looks like if some lines are ignored by some reason.
I ran the same program before without issues, as I said we did moulds on that and the machine ran flawlessly.
Attached a pic
thanks
Meth
Forgot to say, I checked if there was a following error, tried different arc declarations like I,J,K and lots of small lines, and no difference.

What version of linxcnc are you using?
Can you post a sample gcode file that has the error?
Do you see the same error in a sim config?

I got It working now, well I had to make a new config and copy INI and HAL files, but I wonder what caused it, for future references.

It looks a _bit_ like a wierdness with diameter compensation.

it could be, I thought that too perhaps I pressed tool touch off on X or Y axis instead of touch off, but based on that I cleared tool offsets and cleared work offsets too, and the problem was still there.

I was meaning the G40/G41/G42 compensation. That gives diagonal moves like that during the lead-in
