Oh dear.
Yes its definitely a SPARK Concepts xPro V3.

What I've decided to do is use my desktop computer (HP Pavilion p6 series with windows 7) this should easily control the CNC without any problem.

Then you my Mint laptop for every day computer stuff.

I'll come back and let you know how I get on.

Thank all for your help and please close this post if you think its finished.

What happens if you go here with your Mint machine?

I understand about the latency issue between laptop and cnc, but I can't see myself hauling my desktop computer into the shed every time I want to use my CNC Router so I took my 'Mint laptop' to my local computer shop and the guy installed Windows 7 alongside the Mint operating system (best of both worlds).

It seems to be working OK. If there is any lag between both machines its minute. Its not that I'm going to be cutting out intricut pieces every other minute of the day. The most it will be doing is cutting out sections of acrylic for the Arduino Drawing Robot (Computerised drawing machine)

Anyway thanks for your help.
