Linux System Administration is a wide term, first figure out what exactly you want to learn.
The best starting point to learn linux is to learn to use the terminal and it's commands, easy to learn and vide use for many things related to linux.
Example:
To install some software, say Inkscape from linux desktop you have to press Menu, find Administration, scroll down to Synaptic package manager, click, write password, search for Inkscape, select and click Install, click apply, click yes, click OK, close Synaptic.
For terminal press Ctrl+Alt+T and type
sudo apt-get install inkscape
enter
y
done.
The best way to learn Linux is to use it every day.

Arjun,

Good question.

I newly start learning Linux System Administration, Can anyone know the best source to learn it?

Stackoverflow has many solved problem's to review. But you must read further then the first line. And the skill level can be
quite high to understand sometimes. Most of them are die-hard programmers. So you type in google your question and most of time stackoverflow has the solution.

In Linux a system admin can do all task's from command line in basic.
But it is handy to combine sudo thunar with command line's to be fast.

At admin level you could concider to make a install of kali linux.
This will extend your skill's on certain level's that are related to safety usage of linux. Kali has more to learn for system admin's then a basic debian install. Good luck. !!

Install linux without a GUI and try and install Apache web server on it from the command line. By the time you work it out, you will be an expert! This is kinda how I learnt as I wanted to run a web site on a VPS and would SSH into it from Windows using Putty to administer it and when I got stuck, I would pay an Indian Linux Expert!

Travel back in time.....Install Redhat 6.0 and jump into RPM hell hahahaha

Or install gitlab on a std Slackware64 14.2 installation.

Or there is always Linux From Scratch, then install Linuxcnc on that.

I learned on slakware before the first full kernel. Think it was like ver .8, back in the early 90's.

slakware still exists. That's cool

Start with slakware, then learn to build packages and kernels. Took me 6 months before I was able to use 26.6 dialup modem with ppp.....lol Slakware is hardcore....
