Hi Everyone
This is my first time on here to do this
I am trying to Dual Boot Linuxcnc & Windows7 on Two Hard Drives and when both installed and restart computer it shows Linuxcnc and windows but if you select Windows I just get an error
error: no argument specified
error: no such partition
Press any key to continue
Then I am put into the dual boot list again and as long as I select Linux it will work but no way can I get into Windows 7
Can someone please help me

Really going to need a look at your grub config. Which should be somewhere in /boot/grub.
Was Windows 7 installed with UEFI support ?

UEFI is a new system that is replacing BIOS on newer computers. It is supposed to be more secure, and because it is new and implementation isn't entirely uniform and the security thing it has made installing Linux on computers with existing Windows installations very difficult. Some computers have the option of still booting using legacy BIOS, but some don't. Installing another OS beside an existing Windows install that is using UEFI can be almost impossible depending on how the Windows install was originally configured.

Thanks for that explanation Todd
I have quite an old computer at least 10 years so I presume UEFI doesn't count
So can you tell me the answer to my problem then please

I don't know for sure. It's been a long time since I've set up a duel boot with Windows set up and I've never installed Linux along side a version of Windows newer than XP.
My best guess would be that it is a problem with what partition Windows is installed on and whether it is still seen as the primary partition and is still seen as C:.
Try googling for answers in more general Linux resources about problems with setting up a duel boot Windows 7. I'm sure the answer is out there. You might just have to use your Windows installation media to fix the boot partition issue, or maybe it is a problem with where or how you installed the Grub partition.

If you aren't going to post your grub config how the hell do expect to get any proper help ?
If you can't be bothered with that simple requirement you can continue going around in circles.
Your call, you can supply the config and get some help, or don't and continue floundering in a sea of ignorance.
