The question was if LinuxCNC supports EtherCAT SoE.
The answer was 'yes', and what else would need to be installed on LinuxCNC.
So why sarcasm?

SoE as SERCOS over EtherCAT? Where can I find example Linux CNC setup for those? So far I have seen only CoE with CiA402 profile for motion control.

No, in the end, I didn't take their equipment because there weren't any significant advantages. I just talked to them at the exhibition. But SoE can be easily adapted to LinuxCNC.
