Is RTAI kernel to remain alive? was created by tatel
Hi all.
While I understand why the chosen path forward goes the rt-preempt way, I still love RTAI kernel. I'm still testing it on 2.8.2 and would like to know if it's still being developed and where could I report about it

Yes, we are still working on it.
Support was removed from 2.9 but it can be put back if we can build a suitable kernel package.
Note that LinuxCNC uspace should work with an RTAI kernel using LXRT. (I have tried it, and it works. I am not sure if the precompiled binaries work, or whether it needs to be compiled for the kernel)

Is there any place to coordinate work/report/learn about it?
