7i73 Keypad scancode always 64

Hi,
MPG jogging, input switches, outputs are all working but I can't get the 4x8 keypad working.
I jumper any scan line (key 4-7) to any of the 8 inputs (key 8-15) and the hal scancode is always 64.
I pasted a screen print of the hal configuration values that may be relevant.  Anyone see what I am
doing wrong?

Forgot to mention jumpers:
W5 down
W6 up
W7 down

You cannot reliably see the keycode with halshow as
active keycodes only last one servo thread cycle.

Normally keycodes are decoded with the matrix_kb component
