Hello everyone,I have a CHIRON FZ 22L it has sinumerik 810M controll on it, the machine is unreliable and the wireing of the digital inputs/outputs is done bad, and the automatic tool change is not working, I would like to rewire the inputs/outputs and put Mesa boards on it, the drivers motors and spindle are good I would keep them, it has SIMODRIVE 611, I thought of using 7i92TH 7i77 7i74 7i71 7i71 7i70 7i70 7i70 can I connect 3x 7i70 and 2x 7i71 on 7i74?The machine orginally has 136 inputs and 64 outputs,
Any suggestions?

Thanks for info

Yes, 8 boards can be connected to 7i74, but do read the manual as one of those connectors has additional functionality or power running through it.

for the IO, I would add 3 of these store.mesanet.com/index.php?route=produc...83_88&product_id=110

and a 7i77 or similar should be able to handle the servos, spindles etc. I thought those drives were all serial or can though, but I might be wrong.

Are you sure you need that many I/O ports? Is the control panel also included ?
For the control panel you can use 7i73

I'm not going to lie, I need more io for my machines than a 7i77 can offer. But for now I've just ganged up function's on a relay board.

I'd like to be able to regulate chick pressure, monitor hydraulic pressure, my tailstock is hydraulic in entirety, I'd like to run my estop functions from my drives to the hal.etc.

Honestly it's kinda crazy how expensive io is. Small run board production isn't as cost effective as we'd all like however.

Phoenix contactor has some plc stuff that eventually I'd like to write a driver for.

But yeah io, I need more myslef the card i linked is kinda the best $ per port of io

I'd love it if Linux cnc supported these, and we could get a quality unit from mesa electronics

Poštovanje, zanima me da li popravljate strojeve na terenu? Odnosno da li bi Vi mogli pomoći spojiti stroj na LinuxCNC, imate li neki kontakt? LIjep Pozdrav, Dominik

Hello everyone, I have a problem with pncconf I don't know how to configure all the cards it shows just the 7i92TH but it doesn't recognize the 7i74 and 7i77, I did the (mesaflash device 7i92T write 7i92_7i77_7i74d.bin), I tried also the mesa configuration tool with the package installer (mesact) but I get an error "Dependency is not satisfiable: python3-packaging", does anyone know what should I do or how to fix the problem. Thanks, Dominik

I would choose 7I92+ 7I77 in pncconf
configure the 7I77 in pncconf including the encoders
and analog outputs.

Then I would add the additional I/O by editing the hal file
