I'm looking for free cam software / g code generators for up to 5 axes cnc that works with linux cnc on a raspberry pi 5 for free or under $100.

There are some 2D, 2.5D and some 3D free ones, but i am pretty sure there is no free 5 axis software, even payed ones are very expensive, very.
Have not checked lately, so do check FreeCAD with Path workbench, and also BlenderCAM, maybe they added something for 4 or 5 axis.
For 3D try PyCAM, it is free and was very slow but very usable last i checked.

It's hard enough getting CAM for Linux on x86, ARM is going to be like hen's teeth (meaning well supported and stable and not beta).

FreeCAD also has a surprisingly useful CAM feature. It is the only free one I have found that can do adaptive tool paths (HSM, Trochoidal, etc.)
