Have you raised an issue on GH about this?

Not yet. I would like to have somebody else confirm this first.

Hello Aciera, regarding your “patch,” I would like to know if it is functional? Have you had any feedback? It is indeed a matter of correcting the defect concerning the tapping after the execution of the caxis component.

No feedback from other users so far but the workaround disconnecting the 'joint.n.index-enable' (where n is the joint for the caxis) certainly worked for me.
Note though that I have since dismantled my test setup, so no further testing has been done on my part.

I have now filed an issue on git:

Thanks, Aciera. I'll check with Cofhal. He had a setup that seemed to work well. Spumco hasn't said anything since... I plan to give it a try before Christmas (purchase of a 7i96). I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for the feedback and your efforts to make this C-axis fully functional.

Spumco hasn't said anything since...
I've been on an LCNC hiatus for 6 months due to some other work eating up all my free time.

I've still not gotten the new spindle motor completely hooked up and tested, much less tried Aciera's fix.  Hoping to get back to it in the next month or so now that the outside work has finished.
