5i25 firmware XML files for pncconf was created by cmorley
Currently host2firmare repository does not have firmware folders for the 5i25.
Now the 5i25 comes preloaded with firmware so works fine without these folders.
Unfortunately PNCconf also uses this folders for information on the firmware.
so to use PNCconf with the 5i25 for now one must add the folders manually.
To do this requires administrator privileges.
You will need sudo rights to do that ( sudo nautilus typed into a terminal will fire up a graphical sudo file broswer)
here is a zipped folder to place into /lib/firmware/hm2 ( unzip it first )
This has the firmware's XML description PNCconf needs.

Here is zipped folder that has human readable pin descriptions mostly edited from Mesa's manual and PIN files.
When you run PNCconf it will be available on the help page under output, after you select the firmware.
You will need sudo rights to do that ( sudo nautilus typed into a terminal will fire up a graphical sudo file broswer)
this file belongs in /usr/share/doc (unzip it first) the folde should be called hostmot2-firmware-5i25

There is some issue with file permissions on the XML files.
If PNCconf doesn't see the 5i25, check the permissions of the files.

From this post:

This should make adding firmware easier.
