5i25 / 7i77 on internal port of 5i25 only was created by juwi
Hi
I put the 7i77 into the PC case and dont want to loop the cable from outside into it. I build a short flat cable for connecting the 7i77 on the internal port.
Now I cant figure out how to configure the hm2_pci to find the card on the inner port...
I tried:
hm2_5i25.1.xxxxxxxx instead of .0.xxxxxxx
loadrt hm2_pci config=" num_encoders=6 num_pwmgens=0 num_3pwmgens=0 num_stepgens=0 sserial_port_0=xxxx000x "
instead of
loadrt hm2_pci config=" num_encoders=6 num_pwmgens=0 num_3pwmgens=0 num_stepgens=0 sserial_port_0=000xxxxx "
Now I am running out of ideas?
Best regards

Assuming that you are using the 7i77x2 firmware, then the internal port will be higher-numbered versions of everything.
If you connect everything up, then open a terminal and type:
halrun
loadrt hostmot2
loadrt hm2_pci
show pin
exit
Then the fact there is no "config" option should default to loading everything and "show pin" will list every available pin.
I would expect to see encoders up to 11, and the 7i77 gpio pins are likely to be hm2_5i25.0.7i77.0.2....... or possibly hm2_5i25.0.7i77.1.0......

It is still 5i25.0hm2_5i25.1.xxxxxxxx instead of .0.xxxxxxx

Its also fairly trivial to make a reversed 7I77x2 config
(low numbered I/O on P2 = internal header)
I will cobble one up today sometime when I get a chance

freeby.mesanet.com/7i77x2r.bit
is a 'reversed' dual 7i77 config for the 5i25
Encoders 0..5 and sserial ports 0..2 on header P2
Encoders6..11 and sserial ports 3..5 on DB25F P3

OMG... One of thees days
After uploading the firmware we REBOOTED the PC...
Then we did about an hour stupid things like changing all pins in the hal file...
Then we decided to quit for lunch and shut of the PC.
When we came back all Pins were renamed. The I remembered that you have to POWERCYCLE and not only to reboot for loading new Firmwares...
Well at last knowing you've been stupid makes you a bit less stupid
At last, we burned some working time, but eventually it works brilliant
Thanks a lot!
