Pin hm2_5i25.0.7i76.0.0.spinout-minlim not found

False alarm everyone. It seems the VIN power to thje 7i76 needs to be on when linuxCNC starts up. Reasonable but the error doesn't make much sense if that's the case.

I'm trying to generate a hal and ini files for a MESA 5i25-7i76 setup using pncconf and when I try to run it I get the following errors from linuxcnc:

Debug file information:
Can not find -sec MOT -var MOT -num 1
Can not find -sec IO -var IO -num 1
Can not find -sec LINUXCNC -var NML_FILE -num 1
Can not find -sec EMC -var NML_FILE -num 1
EMCO120.hal:98: parameter or pin 'hm2_5i25.0.7i76.0.0.spinout-minlim' not found

linuxCNC version is 2.5.4 and pncconf version is Beta 1. I've installed the 5i25 files referenced at the end of this thread:

A search of the forum turns up this thread:

which includes a hal file that contains the exact same pin name and seems to work.

I'm kind of at a loss as to how to continue. The whole Beta 1 version worries me. I'm not sure if this is a pncconf problem, a hal problem or what.

Anyone have any ideas?
