ok i will try to update to newer linuxcnc,my linuxcnc computer is not hooked up to the internet at the moment so if there is
a updatefile that can be downloaded ill try that.

hi again i have installed linuxcnc debian wheezy 2,7,0 (live cd).
sins there is no folder for 5125card under "lib/firmware/hm2/ i have downloaded 5125.zip from mesa homepage and unzipped it.
i am atempting to copy it to hm2 folder but unable to ,problems with permission i suspect.
owner: root(Root) unable change it .
how do i change it (i did not get sudo nautilus to work,does not accept my password and the only one i know about is the one i use when i start my computer and log in.
any ideas??.

I would just unzip the 5i25.zip file in your home directory
there is no point in installing it anywhere permanent

hi i have manage to flash my 5125 card thru Root terminal ..mesaflash etc.
im asked to do powercycle with the --reeload command.
how do i type this in terminal window??

if you do the
you do not need to power cycle
mesaflash --device 5i25 --reload
