How many pins on 7i76

I have connected field power 24 V to 7i76 + 5i25 and on power up it is showing two lights.
When I run pncconif it reports that there are 34 pins is this correct? as the manual indicates 48 what am I missing?

I have installed from the live CD 2.7.4 should I then do the updates with sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

pncconf show the 5I25 interface pins (there are 34 of these)
The sserial tabs in pncconf should show the 32 inputs and 16 outputs
