I have a vfd controlled spindle and was wondering if it can be configured in pncconf. I see where to set the analog pot for TB4 but do not know what io corresponds to the spindle direction and enable pins on TB4.

Which pin is which rather depends on where you connect the wires.

I have the wires connected to TB4 pins as follows
1 ->vfd analog gnd
2->vfd analog control
3->vfd +10 vdc analog supply
4 nc
5->vfd digital control common
6->vfd->Motor on/off
7->vfd digital control common
8->vfd fwd/rev
I see how to set the digital pot up in pncconf but do not see or know how to assign the spindle enable or direction so it will work with m3,m4,m5 codes.

I got it working by adding a custom panel with pncconf with a spindle meter on it, this is a work around I found that adds the proper hal pins to the config.

You can probably manually delete the mete from the config and leave the pins if you want.
